Communities Youth Activities Council, Ltd

Greetings friends and neighbors. Another summer has come and gone and we move on into the fall. It has been quite a year for our youth group. We had a very successful chicken b-b-q/youth days, as well as our 2nd annual golf outing. We had our front parking area re-done with the recycled blacktop and are in the process of pouring concrete for our b-b-q fire pit. Thank you to everyone for their continued support so we can continue improving the facilities and provide activities for area children. We have some fall events scheduled and they start with our annual Halloween party.
We are excited to announce a “refreshed” Halloween party to be held on SATURDAY OCTOBER 24th from 1:00 until 3:00. We are happy to have newcomers Kyle and Marysue Zimmer heading up this party, which will include craft stations, games, a build your own Carmel apple bar, a decorate your own cookies station and pinatas for each age group for you to take a swing. If you are willing to help staff one of the above stations or help or help contribute to the cost of this event, we would be so grateful to partner with you. We are thrilled to be able to keep this event free to all children and to send them home with a few sweet treats. If you have duck-and-cover skills, we would love to have you supervise one of the pinata stations. This is open to all children 12 and under and they must be accompanied by an adult.
Mark your calendar: our annual all you can eat chili & chicken noodle soup supper is coming up on November 14, serving from 4-6:30, unless we run out earlier. The cost is only $10.00 which includes AUCE soup, crackers, buttered bread and your choice of milk, juice or coffee. Spread the word to your friends and let them know that ALL VETERANS EAT FREE! They even get a free special dessert. We always have a great variety of baked goods for the bake sale. If you would like to help us with that, we are asking all the bakers to make some of their favorite baked goods, bars, breads, cookies, pies, etc. You can drop them off at the youth building on Friday from 1-7 or on Saturday from 1-4. If you would like to help our cooks make the noodles, you will be learning from the best. The noodles are made from scratch, and they are delicious. Bring your own rolling pin and pizza cutter on Friday. They will be starting about 4:30.
The children’s Christmas party will be on Sunday, December 6th. This is open to all children 10 and younger and must be accompanied by an adult. There will be crafts, snacks, cookies, a bag of goodies and a visit from Santa around 1:30. Doors open at 11:45 and crafts begin at noon. Pre-registration is required. Send email to: Jodie.weyland@gmail.com or send registration form to: Waukau youth group, p.o. box 104, Waukau, WI 54980 Registrations must be in by Nov. 29th.
